Galen participated in working visit of Chuvash delegation to Belarus

During the visit meetings were held with Alexander G. Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, Andrey V. Kobyakov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander A. Surikov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the RF in the Republic of Belarus. The meetings were focused on such issues as economic cooperation development, consolidation of cultural ties, use of new possibilities of expanding collaboration between enterprises and organizations of Chuvashia and Belarus.
Mikhail Ignatyev stressed that over many years the republics have built up confidential relationships. “We share our experience to improve living standards of citizens. Today we have a chance to reach a new level of our relations,” – said the President.
Members of the Chuvash delegation visited a number of large industrial and agricultural enterprises of the Republic of Belarus. Galen demonstrated its innovative sucker rod manufactured with the use of GFRP materials to Belarusian State Concern for Oil and Chemistry (Belneftehim Concern).
Besides negotiations between the delegation members and representatives of the relevant agencies, including the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus, were held. Galen discussed issues concerning the production process of composite wall ties, masonry mesh and composite rebars in a wide diameter range manufactured by the Center of Innovative Technologies MAPID (CIT MAPID JLLC), a joint company of Galen LLC and MAPID OJSC on the territory of Belarus. “The road construction sector of Belarus, which actively consumes reinforced concrete, is of particular interest for us, - said Valery Gurinovich, CEO of Galen. – Galen has developed a unique technology of composite mesh production from rebars of larger diameters. Moreover, we are ready to supply the sector with our composite lighting poles and traffic sign poles, which have been already successfully used in the infrastructure of the federal highway M-1 “Belarus” of the Republic of Belarus”.
